London College of Contemporary Arts presents the final major project work of over 40 students from the 2019–20 Pearson BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
Without the usual access to college facilities in the final term of the Foundation in Art and Design course during the Covid-19 lockdown period, students have nevertheless managed to produce some ambitious and exciting work. From bedrooms, back rooms and kitchens across London and beyond, they have applied themselves with hard work, self-discipline and good humour to assimilate and benefit from what they have learned in the earlier stages of the course. With the help of regular staff contact, through online group sessions and one-to-one tutorials, the students represented on these pages have all successfully completed their final projects and completed the foundation course. This first step in art and design education is one that will lead them towards future careers in the creative industries.
